Wheeling is another great stop on your trip through West Virginia. Stop by the Children’s Museum of the Ohio Valley for something the entire family can enjoy. Allow your kids to take the lead here as everyone enjoys various interactive exhibits. Check out the Good Zoo to enjoy 80 rare species on 30 acres of woodland, and don’t forget there’s a 1.5 mile train ride to take you through some of the zoo’s best exhibits.

The Southwestern region of West Virginia offers a lot of fun attractions for tourists as well. Stop by the unique Tamarack, a premier showcase of handcrafts, fine art, and regional cuisines. If you are a fan of theatre, don’t miss the West Virginia Outdoor Dramas, where every summer famous plays are showcased. The Avampato Discovery Museum is another great vacation stop for the whole family, offering over two floors of interactive science exhibits alongside an art gallery and the Electric Sky Theatre.
