For beautiful natural scenery, come see the beautiful sights in the Blue Ridge Mountains. Take a drive along the Blue Ridge Parkway for panoramic view of the mountains. Check out the Cherokee Indian Reservation to learn about one of the most historically significant tribes in the U.S. Then visit the Carl Sandburg Home and National Historic site to learn more about the famous author. Before you go, be sure to see the 3,000-foot drop off of Blowing Rock. Bring your camera for a trip through the Stone Mountain Park. No North Carolina vacation is complete without a trip to North Carolina’s Outer Banks, where you will see many historic sites and beautiful ocean scenery.
