New HampshireIf you are looking for a great outdoor adventure, New Hampshire is the perfect place for you to take your next vacation. Not only does New Hampshire feature a variety of outdoor activities for the entire family, but it also boasts many cultural attractions.

In New Hampshire’s largest city, Manchester, there is something for everyone. Take in a play at the historic Palace Theater, which is in use 340 days a year! The Millyard Museum provides a glimpse of Manchester’s past, from its days as a textile town to the present. The museum also features a huge collection of Native American artifacts. The See Science Center will entertain the whole family with everything from a chemistry lab to a moon walk simulator. For the sports fan, Manchester features the New Hampshire Fisher Cats baseball club, and the Manchester Monarchs hockey team.

The city of Concord is known for its outdoor attractions. For an afternoon of canoeing or kayaking, visit the Contoocook River Canoe Co. For the winter sports enthusiast, Pat’s Peak Ski and Snowboard Resort offers a wide range of winter activities. The New Hampshire Audubon provides a great view of the birds and wilderness in New Hampshire. In Concord you can visit the Museum of New Hampshire History. Its exhibits share the history of New Hampshire from the days of the Native Americans to the present. Tourists should also be sure to visit the Merrimack Valley area, which features many more historic and natural attractions. Visit America’s Stonehenge, the oldest manmade structure in the United States. Also of interest is the Canterbury Shaker Village, which enshrines the history of the Shaker Movement and features many exhibits and walkthroughs. The Christa McAuliffe Planetarium has space exhibits and scheduled sky-watching events.

These are but a few of the attractions found in New Hampshire. Check out Muhammad Ali’s Broken Jaw Bone X-Ray, within a used car-dealer’s personal collection of Muhammad Ali memorabilia. Take your family to explore Ruggles Mine in Grafton. In Allenstown, visit the Museum of Family Camping and Hall of Fame. Also, don’t miss Clark’s Trading Post, whose attractions include a trained bear show.
