The city of Concord is known for its outdoor attractions. For an afternoon of canoeing or kayaking, visit the Contoocook River Canoe Co. For the winter sports enthusiast, Pat’s Peak Ski and Snowboard Resort offers a wide range of winter activities. The New Hampshire Audubon provides a great view of the birds and wilderness in New Hampshire. In Concord you can visit the Museum of New Hampshire History. Its exhibits share the history of New Hampshire from the days of the Native Americans to the present. Tourists should also be sure to visit the Merrimack Valley area, which features many more historic and natural attractions.
