Frankfort is the capital offering interesting history and lots of fun. The city is most proud of its historical sites and outdoor recreation opportunities. The Capital City Museum is a great place to stop to learn all about the state. There is a Frank Lloyd Wright home in the city boasting outstanding architecture. The Buckley Wildlife Sanctuary invites guests to see a variety of different wild habitats in Kentucky nature. Canoe Kentucky is a fantastic way to see the landscape in a canoe. Relax and fish or careen through rapid waters for whatever type of adventure is desired. Louisville, the largest city in the state, is located on the Ohio River. Attractions line the city for every age and curiosity. The city is the home of the Muhammad Ali Center encapsulating a look at his life and principles. London’s Royal Armouries are displayed at the Frazier International History Museum, the only place to hold these magnificent treasures outside of London. The city is the home of the Louisville Slugger Museum and manufacturer, which has been creating baseball bats for the past 25 years. Many historic players had their signature bats made at this manufacturer. More activities throughout the state that can’t be missed include the Kentucky Derby, Kentucky bourbon distilleries scattered through the state, and the Mammoth Cave, which is the longest cave in the world.
